By recognizing the Italian community and drawing greater attention to their culture, histories, and traditions, we provide an opportunity for all Canadians to learn more about the diversity from which we garner our strength as a country. Italian Heritage Month will recognize, celebrate and raise awareness of the Italian community in Canada. Building a diverse and inclusive society by promoting and encouraging awareness, understanding and respect for many different cultures is at the top of our priorities.
